Before we were in complete isolating due to COVID, I was spending time with the cutest crazy in love. I was in need of a joyful couples session, and these two fit the bill. Two high school sweethearts joined me to play around with some playful couples poses downtown. The results speak for themselves.

Posing and prompting doesn’t have to be stiff and serious. You’re working with two people who are crazy about each other and partnered up with their best friend. So let’s have some fun! Try these 3 playful couples poses downtown or anywhere your heart desires!

Playful Pose #1: Partnered Airplane

When you think back to your childhood, at one time or another, we all pretended we were airplanes flying free. Your clients should absolutely be taken back to the good old days with this one. Have partners stand one in front of the other facing the camera. Instruct them to interlock fingers/hands and make an indirect flight pattern towards you. Ask them to zig zag back and forth, looking at one another (and where they’re going of course), while also making their best airplane sounds. Best airplane sound wins, ha ha.

Playful Pose #2: Buckin’ Bronco Ride

It’s a piggy back ride, but buckin’ bronco style! Have one of your pair hop up onto their partners back for a piggyback ride with a twist. Ask the person carrying their partner to go wild! Bounce around, dip side to side, up and down, spin it you can, while partner #2 tries to earn that 8 second ride!

Playful Pose #3: Bear Hug Sneak Attack + SNACK!

Ask one person to stand behind the other and, without the other hearing, instruct that first partner to sneak up on their significant other and give them a huge bearhug! But don’t stop there! Let them know they are also an incredibly hungry bear! Every inch of their partner’s neck is exactly the snack that would hit the spot and it’s chow time! Nom, Nom, Nom. Giggles and kisses to follow.
