That makes this location an easy choice for couples when deciding where to take their Oregon coast engagement pictures.

But, why Pacific City?!

Just like with winter weddings, winter engagement pictures don’t seem to be quite as popular in the pacific northwest. But, I challenge you to reconsider. In the winter time, the beaches aren’t as crowded and parking is easier to find. The weather can be a little tricky, but the romantic mood that fog or even a bit of rain can bring is so unique. Add that to the breathtaking landscape of Pacific City, and you’ve got yourself a winner.

The texture + color of Cape Kiwanda can make you feel like you are on an entirely different planet. You can use the cape as a beautiful distant backdrop, walk closer and cuddle in its nooks or hike to the peak to be high above it all. Each option as beautiful as the next. If you time the tide just right, you can even walk safely onto many of the rock formations alongside the cape. Use this tide timetable to make sure know when the best time to use this location.
