Fall Family Photoshoot at Smith Rock State Park
I’m a huge fan of having family photos taken — and I love them even more on vacations! You’re creating memories of this specific time in your lives, and commemorating the memories you make on vacation all at once. This can even become a special family tradition year after year. A yearly photoshoot marks the changes and the growth of the entire family. This fall family photoshoot at Smith Rock State Park is just one example of how special a family session can be!

Liz and Jay, and their daughter, Harper, were visiting some of Liz’s family in the Black Butte area here in Oregon. On an early fall day, we ventured out to Smith Rock for this beautiful fall family photoshoot! The weather can get chilly as the sun disappears behind the rock, but I think that’s the perfect excuse to get snuggly with your loved ones. It makes for the cutest photos! And while you do have that autumn sun, everything here in Central Oregon is golden, warm, and simply magical.
Harper just learned how to sit up completely on her own while the family was on their vacation here (how exciting is that!!), so we had to capture those sweet memories and get some special photos of Harper by herself on the blankets. It’s moments like these that I love most at my sessions. Through social media since this fall family photoshoot, I’ve been able to stay connected with Liz and Jay. I got to see Harper learn to crawl, stand, and develop her personality.❤️
(PS — I have a huge blanket bin for my clients to sit on at sessions so they aren’t getting all covered in dirt! I have tons of colors and styles to find the best fit for each person!)
