It kind of seems widely known that guys aren’t always fans of the photo taking process… but let me tell you, Carter was an absolute gem!!! Carter, you are so kind and so much fun… you are going to do great things!!! This guy has zero modeling experience and absolutely crushed his Boys Fall Senior Portraits in Bend, Oregon. 1. Sitting + Leaning: I find that using different structures to sit and lean on is also very comforting and grounding for the client. I tend to begin with these poses and build but to some movement and playfulness.
2. Incorporate Movement: A little running, climbing, walking or jumping can help take the edge off of being photographed.
3. Tell them what to do with their hands: Make sure you are giving them something to do with their hands. Hands can do in pockets, cross the chest, used to lean on a tree limb, gently rubbed together, etc.
