Choosing the right wedding venue can have a big impact on the way your wedding day unfolds. The good news is, you can almost never go wrong with the wedding venues here in Central Oregon! Here is a list of some of my personal favorites as a wedding photographer. These options cover a variety of wedding vibes to fit the day you’re dreaming up with your partner!
The venue shortlist:
This gated resort and neighborhood is at the base of Smith Rock State Park, which means it has some amazing opportunities for portraits on your wedding day. The Ranch is Tuscan-inspired, so it’s not just your portraits that will be beautiful! The whole day is going to feel like a luxurious, special experience here. You have two venues you can choose from with multiple configurations for your ceremony and reception. There’s a pergola, Stable Lake nearby, and a woven willow corral. As a bonus, Ranch at the Canyons has a list of local vendors and service providers to help you plan your day!
This is probably one of the most well known wedding venues here in Central Oregon. There are so many locations to choose from at Sunriver Resort! On their website, you’ll see all the indoor & outdoor possibilities for a ceremony and reception here. Whether you’re picturing a small celebration or a party with everyone you know, a wedding at Sunriver Resort is going to be an elegant, private experience for you and your guests. Sunriver was selected by The Knot, Oregon Bride Magazine, Here Comes the Guide, and Wedding Wire as a standout destination wedding venue.
Long Hollow Ranch will make all your rustic barn wedding dreams come true! Their barn is 100 years old and gives the perfect atmosphere a wedding. They have tents for you to use in the event of any weather events, and lots of free parking for your guests.
Loloma Lodge is in McKenzie Bridge, Oregon, so technically some people may not include this on a list of Central Oregon wedding venues. But, this is such a cool option for your day that I couldn’t leave it out! There’s standard lodging, camping, a reception area with a stage, and ceremony spot all in one here. Picture a wedding getaway for a weekend with your closest guests deep in the sunny woods!
The view of the mountains here really says it all. The Metolius River and Mt. Jefferson serve as the backdrop here for gorgeous outdoor weddings. You can also get married inside at this venue in the Main House. Nothing beats a venue that showcases the beauty of Central Oregon! House on Metolius is perfect.
I have a whole blog post up about what weddings are like at Brasada Ranch! If that doesn’t tell you how much I love this place for a Central Oregon wedding, I don’t know what will! Brasada Ranch is a full-service wedding venue where you can have an entire weekend experience, and not just a one-day celebration. (PS: they have dog-friendly accommodations for an overnight stay, which you know I’m all about!)
Black Butte Ranch offers an onsite coordinator to help you plan your wedding, catering, and activities to help you make a trip out of the experience. A spa, biking, hiking, kayaking, and even stargazing are just a few of the options — can you imagine stargazing while cuddled up with your partner after the reception is over? Dreamy!! Black Butte is also a great place to elope if you don’t want a larger wedding. Elopement services still include a day-of coordinator and a gorgeous outdoor ceremony site.
You have indoor and outdoor wedding options here, just like a lot of the other venues here in Central Oregon! The Event Island is their most popular spot, for good reason! The views of the Cascades range from this ceremony spot are perfect. Personally, I think the Lava Cave is the most unique venue you can have for your wedding. And yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like — a wedding or reception candlelit in this echoing cavern would make for such a cool day!
Tetherow is just minutes from downtown Bend. If you’re a local, no worrying about coordinating travel plans. If you’re from out of town, you can have your wedding at Tetherow and take the opportunity to explore downtown Bend! You can see the Cascades from here for a picturesque wedding setting. Tetherow will also offer catering for your day!
Last up on the list of wedding venues in Central Oregon is Rock Springs Ranch! The lodge and cabins fit the perfect woodsy vibe for a secluded getaway. Weddings here are available May through October, so it’s not the spot for a winter wedding, but summer and fall here are gorgeous! You can have up to 150 people celebrate with you here.
And there you have it! A list of the best Central Oregon wedding venues for you to check out. If one of these venues is your perfect spot, I’d love to hear about it! Reach out to me here to ask about wedding photography at your gorgeous Central Oregon venue.
