If you’ve followed me for a while, then you probably already knew this suggestion was coming. If you love your animals like I do, then it is no question… ALWAYS include your bestest furry friend in your Senior Pictures.
Some of my fondest high school and college memories were made on the soccer field. There is so much growth that comes from the training and competition that playing sports provides. You should absolutely be proud of how hard you’ve worked and highlight that as such a major point in your life.
Got a super sweet record collection?! What about a special skill or unique activity you participate in?! All of these things can be such a great way to truly get you feeling like yourself in front of the camera and give us an intimate snapshot of who you are!
They have been, and probably will continue be, your biggest cheerleaders getting you to this monumental time in your life. All we need is a few minutes to get your closest friends and family in for a few shots! They should absolutely be a part of the session that celebrates you!
I will always remember my first car and I have a feeling many others might share in that sentiment. There is just something about being young and having the freedom to drive. Let’s make sure we bottle up that feeling in your Senior Photos!
Before moving to the high dessert a few years ago, I lived in many locations up and down the Willamette Valley. Being an Oregon Senior Photographer took me to many different cities + towns, and although the Oregon outdoors is breathtaking and beautiful, there is just something about a city landscape. Some of my favorite sessions have included an urban backdrop for senior photos so don’t be too quick to count that out!
Yet another restriction of Senior yearbook photo guidelines… submission deadlines. If there is any way to get around submission deadlines, I want to encourage you to think about Senior Photos during a nontraditional time of the year! If you are a Bend Oregon Highs School Senior or any Central Oregon High School Senior, snow is a guaranteed winter forecast. This makes for some incredibly magical Senior Photos. And speaking of Magical, fall senior photos can add that unique pop of color to any session!
Maybe it’s not as unique as some of the other ideas, but i would be capricious of me to not suggest good old photos at Golden Hour. Especially if you’re taking your senior pictures in Bend, Oregon! I may be completely biased, but you don’t get better late summer/early fall sunsets than in Central Oregon.
Hopefully these 8 Unique Senior Photo Ideas ideas have given you a general direction to get you started planning your epic senior picture session. But don’t forget, you are not alone. Your senior photographer will most likely be over the moon excited to help you in the planning process. Personally, it’s one of my favorite things about being a Bend Oregon Senior Photographer!
