Family Photos in Bend at Shevlin Park
Upon moving to Bend in May 2021, to say the least, it was a little bit surreal. My newly wed husband and I had always dreamed of following our passions to Bend since we first started dating in 2016!!! And now, so many years later, it was happening!!! I was so excited about so many things. Central Oregon has so much to offer and now I was going to be a photographer there! Becoming a part of the Bend photography community had me a little nervous. However, thanks to some networking and social media connections, I felt right at home! Making new friends over the age of 30 was a new challenge however. How do we even do that?! Who knew taking our dogs our would lead to good friends and family photos in Bend!
When your dog is your child
I first met the couple while walking our dogs (if you know me, this is no shock at all). I thought their boxer Jasper was just the most handsome boy i’d ever seen and he seemed to have quite a crush on my sweet golden girl, Ms. Penny Precious! Before long, meeting up while pottying the dogs in the neighborhood was an absolute delight and strangers became friends, dogs became friends and friends became clients! We set up a little fur family shoot and the rest was magic!

Jasper loved the smells and McKenzie was happy was happy to find some of the aspen trees were changing color and looking a bit more like fall. McKenzie, Jason + Jasper exude as much love and sense of family as the first photo in their gallery radiates. Meeting and photographing this little family for a holiday mini, in our shared backyard and new hometown of Bend was a highlight of the season!
